Rachel Thompson, SHRM-CP, Workforce Advisor for the State of Iowa at IowaWORKS in Ottumwa.
Rachel is a Certified Professional with Society of Human Resource Management. She works as a Workforce Advisor at the IowaWorks office in Ottumwa. She provides soft skill and professional development training to job seekers, community members, employees, students, and other professionals. She assists people in writing their resumes, preparing for interviews, learning to communicate potential barriers in a positive manner, and understanding Labor Market Information. Finally, Rachel works with employers to identify potential candidates to fill workforce needs.
She has more than seven years of experience in Human Resource Management, 6 years of experience in Law Enforcement, and ten years of experience in Human Services fields.
