    Amy Brink from Iowa Workforce Development will be speaking about Skilled Iowa, services available for employers as well as job seekers. She will also explain how our job order system links up with job seekers.

    LaDonna Fechtling from Indian Hills Community College will be speaking about Youth Program, On the Job Training (OJT) and Metrix Learning.

    Bios:

    Amy Brink is a graduate from University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a Master’s in Adult Education and a Bachelor’s in Agriculture Business.  Upon graduation she worked with the University of Wisconsin – Platteville Human Resources Department for 5 years assisting in payroll and hiring. She then began working for the State of Wisconsin Workforce Development facilitating employment trainings to unemployed residents. After relocating to Iowa she was the Training Coordinator at Ottumwa Job Corps where she developed and administered training programs for staff as well as worked with young adults on employment skills. Currently, she is employed with Iowa Workforce Development and is assisting and supporting employers in the Placement & Recruitment position. Promoting the Skilled Iowa Initiative and proctoring the National Career Readiness Certificate testing is her primary focus.

    LaDonna Fechtling has been working as an employment counselor for Indian Hills Community College for over twenty years.  She has been providing employment counseling for both youth, adult customers and trying to help business fill there need.  She also has had experience performing managerial functions including program development, budgeting, staffing and oversight.  Early in her career she worked in private industry providing office administration which included accounting and oversight of all office functions.

    LaDonna holds both a Masters degree in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University and a Bachelors degree from Northeast Missouri State University.
