Presenter:  Roxie Morrison – Talent Development Specialist

Roxie is the Talent Development Specialist at Musco Lighting in Oskaloosa, IA. Since joining the Musco Team, I have been involved with training in one way or another. • 9 years in Direct Marketing and Call Center Management – learning the business • 9 years helping to develop a Customer Support Center for a new product (Control-Link) including an internet based scheduling program and online training tool • Moved in the HR world in 2008 to help meet the training needs of a growing workforce. I focus primarily on leadership and manager development, talent development and individual coaching. Roxie is passionate about individuals and how people connect – which has led her to become a certified trainer in Crucial Conversations in December of 2011.

Program Objective:  A crucial conversation is a discussion between two or more people where stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. When we face crucial conversations, we can do one of three things: 1. We can avoid them 2. We can face them and handle them poorly 3. Or we can face them and handle them well Roxie Morrison, Talent Development Specialist and Crucial Conversations trainer at Musco will give us some insight into how we typically behave during difficult conversations and how this training can help us do better.
